What you need
Steps
Fit the Quadlock case to your phone. It replaces your normal case and gives you the twist-lock back the mount needs.
Attach the mount to your stem or handlebar. Tighten the bolts firmly so the mount cannot twist or tilt when you push on it.
Add the vibration dampener if you ride gravel or rough roads. It protects the phone camera from constant buzzing.
Clip the phone on by lining up the lugs, pressing down and twisting a quarter turn until it clicks. Tug it gently to check.
Open your camera app and pick 1080p at 60fps or 4K at 30fps. Tap and hold the screen to lock focus and exposure.
Press record and ride. Keep clips to 10 or 20 seconds each so you have less footage to sort later.
For a second angle, bolt a spare mount to a small tripod or a short pole and clip a second phone or camera adapter in.
Check before every ride that the phone is locked on and the mount bolts are tight, especially after a bumpy day.
Tips and common mistakes
Stop the bike before you touch the phone or change settings, never adjust it while moving.
Film in landscape for YouTube and portrait for short-form video, and decide before you start.
Wipe the lens before each clip, road dust makes footage look soft and hazy.
Recording drains the battery fast, so start with a full charge or carry a power bank in your frame bag.
Questions
Will the phone stay on over bumpy ground?
A properly tightened Quadlock mount holds well on gravel and potholes. Check the twist-lock and bolts after rough sections, since vibration can slowly loosen them.
Can I use my normal phone case?
No, the mount needs the Quadlock case back to lock into place. You swap cases before the ride and put your normal one back afterwards.
Does the mount damage the phone camera?
Engine vibration can wear out the camera stabilisation over time. Fit the vibration dampener if you ride rough surfaces often.
