What you need
Steps
Open the Gallery app on your Samsung phone and tap Albums at the bottom of the screen.
Pinch two fingers in or out on the album grid to make the album covers smaller or larger.
Release your fingers when the grid looks right. Samsung Gallery keeps this layout the next time you open it.
Tap the three dot menu in the top right corner of the Albums screen to reach the album view settings.
Use those settings to change how much shows on each album, such as the album name under the cover.
To reorder albums, open the same menu and pick Sort, then choose Name, Date or Custom order.
If you want a different setup, install Google Photos and build your albums there. Samsung Gallery keeps working as before.
Tips and common mistakes
Pinch slowly, because a fast pinch can jump past the grid size you wanted.
A custom sort order is saved in the Gallery app, so other gallery apps may still list albums by date.
Give albums clear names, since small covers can be hard to tell apart in a tight grid.
Questions
Does changing the album layout delete any photos?
No. It only changes how albums are shown on screen. Your photos and albums stay exactly where they are.
Can I change the grid size in the Photos tab as well?
Yes. Pinch on the Photos tab to set how many thumbnails appear per row, separately from the Albums tab.
How do I sort the pictures inside one album?
Open the album, tap the three dot menu and choose Sort to order photos by date, name or custom order.
