Steps
Create a shared album in Google Photos, iCloud Photos or Dropbox. Turn on the option that lets other people add their own photos, not just view yours.
Open the album's share settings and copy the album link. Send it to yourself first so you can test it.
Sign in to Linkly and start a new link. Paste the album link into the destination field.
Give the link a short ending and a clear name like wedding photos, then save it. The short link and its QR code are created together.
Download the QR code as a PNG file and place it in your table card artwork, signage or invitation. Print a test copy on paper first.
Scan the printed code with your own phone to check it opens the album and the upload button is visible.
Hand the cards out or set them on the tables. Guests scan, land in the album and add their photos with nothing to install.
After the wedding, open the same link in Linkly and change the destination to the photographer's gallery. The cards people took home still work.
Check the scan count on the link to see when guests used the code and how many made it to the album.
Tips and common mistakes
An iCloud shared album asks guests to sign in with an Apple account before uploading, so use Google Photos if your guest list is mixed.
Test the code on both an iPhone and an Android phone before you print the full batch of cards.
Keep the code at least 2 cm square with a clear white border so phone cameras can read it from across a table.
Because the code points at a short link, you can change where it goes later without reprinting anything.
Questions
Do guests need to install an app to add photos?
No. Scanning the code opens the album in their browser and they upload from there. Only iCloud albums ask for an Apple account first.
Can I reuse the same QR code after the wedding?
Yes. Point the link at the photographer's gallery once the edited photos are ready, and every printed card starts sending people there.
How do I know if anyone scanned the code?
Linkly counts scans on the short link, so you can see how many people used it and when.
