Steps
Park on level ground and turn the ignition off. Lift the front wiper arms away from the windscreen so the blades stand up.
Lay a cloth on the glass under the arm. Press the release tab on the old blade connector and slide the blade off the hook.
Fit the new 26 inch blade on the driver side. Slide the hook into the connector until it clicks, then lower the arm gently.
Repeat on the passenger side with the 16 inch blade. Check both blades sit flat against the glass.
Lift the rear wiper arm off the back window. Release the old 12 inch blade from its arm.
Clip the new 12 inch rear blade onto the arm until it locks. Lower the arm back onto the glass.
Run the front and rear wipers with washer fluid and check for streaks or missed patches.
Tips and common mistakes
Match the blade length to the position, since a 26 inch blade will not fit the passenger side.
Hold the wiper arm while you work so it does not snap back and crack the windscreen.
Replace blades when they chatter or smear, usually once a year.
Check the connector type on your new blade matches the RAV4 hook arm before buying.

About once a year, or sooner if they streak, chatter or leave gaps on the glass.
