Steps
Open the Settings app on your iPhone and tap your name at the top of the list.
Tap Subscriptions. If that option is not on the screen, open the App Store app, tap your profile picture, then tap Subscriptions.
Tap the subscription you want to stop. Free trials and paid plans both appear in this same list.
Tap Cancel Subscription or Cancel Free Trial. If you do not see the button, scroll down, because it sits below the renewal details.
Tap Confirm when the phone asks. The subscription stays active until the end of the period you already paid for.
Check that the subscription now shows an expiry date instead of a renewal date, then close Settings.
If the subscription is missing, sign in with the Apple Account you used to buy it, or ask your Family Sharing organizer to cancel it.
If you were charged after cancelling, go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and request a refund for that charge.
Tips and common mistakes
Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription, so always use the Subscriptions screen.
Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date, or you may be billed for another period.
A subscription shared through Family Sharing can only be cancelled by the family organizer.
You can resubscribe from the same screen later if you change your mind.
Questions
Why is Subscriptions missing from my Settings?
You may be signed in with a different Apple Account than the one used to buy it. Some subscriptions are also billed by the company itself rather than by Apple, so you cancel those on that company's website.
Does deleting the app cancel the subscription?
No. The app can be removed while the billing continues, so cancel from Settings first and then delete the app.
Can I get my money back?
Refunds are not automatic. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com, and Apple reviews each case separately.
