What you need
Steps
Open a blank slide and set a clean background color or subtle gradient so the 3D shapes stand out.
Insert a shape such as a rounded rectangle or circle. Right-click it and open Format Shape to start building the custom 3D element.
Under 3D Format, add depth and bevel to the shape. Adjust the depth size and material until it looks solid and dimensional.
Apply a gradient fill with two or three colors. Set the gradient angle so light appears to hit one side of the shape.
Add a depth shadow or outer shadow with high blur and low transparency. Move the shadow offset to match the light direction.
Duplicate the 3D shape into three or four cards. Use Align and Distribute to space them evenly across the slide.
Place an icon at the top of each card. Keep icons the same size and style for a consistent look.
Add short headings and body text under each icon. Use one font family and limit yourself to two font sizes.
Select each card and open the Animations tab. Apply a Fly In entrance, then add a Bounce or smooth end effect.
Open the Animation Pane and set the cards to start After Previous with a short delay so they appear in sequence.
Tips and common mistakes
Keep gradients to two or three colors so the 3D look stays clean instead of muddy.
Match every shadow offset to the same light direction or the cards will look flat and inconsistent.
Use the Animation Pane to check timing, since Fly In and Bounce can overlap and look messy.
Group each card's shape, icon and text before animating so they move together.
Questions
Do I need PowerPoint 365 for the 3D effects?
No. The 3D Format and shadow options used here are in PowerPoint 2019 and later, and most are also in 2016. Older versions may have fewer bevel and material choices.
Why does my 3D shape look flat?
You likely skipped the depth setting or the shadow. Add a bevel and a depth value, then add an outer shadow with a clear offset.
Can I reuse this infographic in other slides?
Yes. Select all the cards, copy them, and paste into another slide. The animations copy with the shapes.
