Steps
Start with clean, dry eyelids. Apply any eyeshadow first so the liner sits on top and does not smudge.
Rest your elbow on a table and look slightly down into a mirror. Steady your hand by resting your pinky on your cheek.
Draw a short line from the outer corner of your eye outward and slightly up. Keep it short at first.
Connect the end of that line back to the middle of your upper lash line to form a small triangle.
Fill the triangle in with the liner, then line the rest of your upper lash line to the inner corner.
Fix mistakes while the liner is still wet with a cotton swab dipped in a little makeup remover.
Apply a thin line of lash glue to the band of one cluster and wait about 20 to 30 seconds until it turns tacky.
Use tweezers to place the cluster on your natural lash line, starting at the outer corner and working inward.
Press each cluster gently in place and check that the wing and lashes sit evenly on both eyes.
Tips and common mistakes
Keep both wings the same length by checking them straight on in the mirror, not from the side.
Do not use too much glue or the clusters will slide and clump.
Peel clusters off gently at the end of the day and clean the band so you can reuse them.
Questions
What if my wings come out uneven?
Remove the smaller wing with makeup remover and redraw it to match the other side. Checking straight on in a mirror makes the difference easier to see.
Can I do this without cluster lashes?
Yes. The winged liner works on its own, and you can add mascara instead of clusters for a lighter look.
How long do the clusters stay on?
With lash glue they usually last a day and come off with gentle peeling or makeup remover. Do not pull hard on your natural lashes.
