Open Canva and click Create a design, then Custom size. Type 2000 x 2000 px for a square print, or 8 x 10 in if you plan to frame it.
Pick a background in Elements. A plain cream, white or soft pastel colour works best because the photos need to stand out from it.
Open the Elements tab, choose Frames and search for the number you need, such as 30 or 5. Add one frame for each digit.
If you cannot find the right number frame, open the Collage Maker app from the Apps menu and pick a number shaped grid instead.
Drag the frames to the middle of the page and resize them so the digits fill most of the canvas but leave a small border.
Upload your photos in the Uploads tab, then drag one photo onto each frame. Click the frame and use the crop handles to centre the face.
Keep the number of photos per digit even and match the brightness of the images so the number stays readable from a distance.
Add a small line of text under the number with the name and date. Use one clean font and keep it much smaller than the digits.
