What you need

• 1 skein of chunky Faces yarn by @thewoolcatcher
• 10 mm circular needles, 60 cm long
• Place 4 markers, one after every 11 stitches.

Steps

1. Cast on 44 stitches.

2. Join in the round, making sure the stitches are not twisted.

3. Knit all stitches in the round for 25 rounds, approximately 18 cm.

4. Place 4 markers, one after every 11 stitches.

5. Round 1: After each marker, knit 2 stitches together (K2tog). Knit all the remaining stitches. You will have 4 decreases in total.

6. Round 2: Knit all stitches with no decreases.

7. Repeat Rounds 1 and 2 until only 4 stitches remain on the needles.

8. To create a pointed top, knit the remaining 4 stitches for one more round.

9. Cut the yarn, leaving a tail. Thread the yarn through the remaining stitches and pull tight to close the top.

10. Secure the yarn, sew the top closed and weave in all the ends.
